'Malty' is a native of Miltown Malbay, and is a retired member of An Garda Síochána as well as twice elected Chairman of the Clare County Board.

glad to see that common sense has prevailed and Clare County Council has
agreed to sit down with a local committee formed in Ennistymon to
resolve issues relating to serious traffic congestion at Blakes Corner.
